“Times Solo Says The Things I Wish I Could Put Words To”, part 3.
Yeah I learned about Amaterasu from “Okami” but that’s beside the fact, considering the resulting research made her my favorite deity for years. Later I finally realized “oh shit She’s calling me” and actually researched the hell out of everything, and above all, I knew from the start that “Okami”s portrayal is pure fiction.

I actually was introduced briefly to Bast through an educational program called “Cluefinders”. She was a goddess who bestowed wisdom to one of the team, and I’ve never forgotten it.

Thank you for reminding me that my first introduction to Anglo-Saxon legends was through Wishbone the talking Jack Russell Terrier.

I recognized Hecate througha series called Daughters of The Moon, obviously its fictional, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a valid starting point.

If Tumblr Can Help a Guy Get a Chicken...

waywardweemer-goat:

askshi:

Hello. My name is Neoma Lindley, and I live with a condition called ‘pseudo-tumor cerebri’, a form of IIH (idiopathic inter-cranial hypertension). This condition causes severe migraines, vision problems, and at times leaves me in such pain that I can’t function.

Treatment for this condition is a lumbar puncture and tap, to remove excess cerebral-spinal fluid. However, this procedure is expensive, and since my mother’s death last April, I have not been able to afford a tap, meaning my inter-cranial pressure is very high, and I am struggling to function.

With out treatment, I am experiencing radical and continual vision loss. I really need help.

I need this tap, and I need it as soon as possible, but without aid there is no way way for me to get it. Every little bit helps, you have no idea — if four thousand people can spare a single dollar to me, I’ll be in the clear for this procedure.

Please guys, I know this pain, I dealt with this just over a year ago and may be dealing with it now.
I have dealt with a lot of pain in my life, but the pain of a pseudo tumor is something… special. I have never vomited strictly from pain until then.

If it is untreated it can cause permanent blindness, brain damage, even death if it gets bad enough, long enough.

Anyone know how to practice seeing spirits with one’s physical eyes? That’s one thing that I don’t have and I know people with it.

If you understand how reiki works, I’ve also read that you can use that as a method to “heal” your physical eyes to the point that they become more sensitive to seeing spirits. It does work, but it’s a very gradual practice that can takes months, depending on how sensitive you are already, and how adaptive your brain is to opening up and seeing.

A simple way of putting it is close your eyes, rest either two fingers or your whole hand, whatever is more comfortable and easier for you to focus energy through, relax your breathing. Imagine you are breathing in energy of whatever kind you associate with, and when you breathe out, imagine it going out through your arms and into your eyes. Do this in sets of whatever number you associate ritually with. The book I read said sets of three, but if you prefer a different number, use what works for you.

If you do this very regularly, you will probably start even seeing within a few weeks. It starts as seeing from the corners of your eyes and works it’s way up. I don’t do this enough myself to be able to see better beyond corner vison and maybe quick glances.

I don’t actually make too many kin-related posts on here, but I do feel comfort in knowing that I have this blog for when I feel the need to.

You know what, I think I’ll ramble a little bit about myself since I haven’t actually spoken too much about myself or my demon half at all.

Cool :). I don’t know if I consider myself literally a demon… maybe I just identify as one. I don’t believe in hell or satan, so it’s weird to think that demons are a literal thing for me, but I have my own definition, I guess.

You’re not the only demonkin I’ve spoken to on here who has a different perception on the demon thing. When you think about demons from other religions and spiritualities outside the Judeo-Christian parameters though, it makes sense that not everyone has the same experience. There are demons who don’t associate with hell, Satan, or any of the things most people think about when they hear the word “demon”. There are good demons as well as malevolent ones and there are the grey area types too. They come in all shapes and sizes, different kinds of energies.

I think of “demon” as more of a blanket term for chaotic entities, and even then, it can still be an inaccurate application. You can use another person’s knowledge and experience to supplement your own, but there is no reason to discredit your experience because it’s not a literal and direct comparison to someone else’s.

So yeah, if you identify as demon but don’t associate with Christian perceptions of demon, that’s okay. :> There are many types and many worlds out there.

So my fiancée and I are going to be getting into the business of casting and making ears,  head/ear fins, and horns for cosplayers, but we also wanted to offer our services to otherkin and therians as well, since we are also otherkin. We haven’t started getting materials yet, but we intend to do custom casts as well. We’d like to even lay hair on things like wolf and cat ears.

With material costs and whatnot, we’re thinking we could do $10-20 for these, prices varying on size and complexity.

This project is still going to be a few months off in setting up since we need to get the money to get the materials, but I wanted to post this up so that people who are interested in something could possibly contact us, that way once we have the materials, we can cast those right away.

If anyone has any questions about this, feel free to message us and ask!
